Pittsburgh Steelers no o-line help????

Why does it seem every year there is not even an event called free agency when you are a Steelers fan? Is It just me or is it plain crazy to invest more money on Big Ben then any other player in Steelers history then not get a line to protect him? The last couple season's Ben has been getting hit more than Mary Carey at a porn convention. So what do the Steelers do when free agency rolls around?? They release their only veteran and former 1st round pick Kendall Simmons and give Max Starks the franchise tag at about 8million dollars!!
At the start of free agency I thought "Thank You Lord" Jeff Saturday is openly admitting he wants to go to Pittsburgh and Kahliff Barnes is a young great o-lineman that fits The Steelers physical style of play! Pittsburgh had the cap room to sign both but failed to sign either instead like I said gave mediocre at best Starks another huge contract. Starks was paid close to 8 million last year and he wasnt even a starter when week 1 rolled around! He never started till the Simmons season ending injury,or should I say Steelers Career ending injury, during the week 4 MNF game against Baltimore in Pittsburgh, which I was at.
Dont get me wrong I love the rooneys and Director of personnel Kevin Colbert, but COME ON you have to protect your biggest investment ever! Ben is great at scrambling and making plays when the protection breaks down but he has taken way to many hits and I fear one of them may take him out for awhile if not a seaon or more like Brady.
The draft is loaded with Stud o-lineman like nearly every year, but also like every year they will be gone by the 32nd pick. The Steelers litterally have squat that they can trade too unless they are willing to give up future draft-picks or this years picks. I highly doubt they will do that since they need help at not only the o-line but also at CB and at D-line big time. They're D-line is great but as old as dinosaurs! That posistion has to be strong for their linebackers to play great too! But thats a whole other Blog in itself! As is Bruce Arians and his Pass,Pass,Pass,Run play calling philosphy.
Leave me a comment and let me know what You think the Steelers will do with their O-line if anything!
